Prologue
Thursday night, 23rd April 2015, 8:00 pm. I was in the office. My work was over at 6 pm itself. From past 2 hours, I was doing my favourite stuff on computer - searching for new destinations ;-)
From past several months, I didn't go to any trek. Mostly, I was going on rides on weekends. Now I wanted to go close to nature. I was planning to go on a "ride cum trek" trip as there was long weekend coming up (1st-3rd May). "Trek!" Whenever that word strikes to me there are 3 more which follows, "Get Beyond Limits!" The trekking club with whom I went to Kudremukh. It was the first trek from Bangalore and I had an amazing time! I checked out their website, and found that they are going on a trek this weekend itself! Without wasting any time, I called Salwat (one of the co-founders of GBL). And he told me that there were a couple of slots available. I had some commitments already for that weekend (had to meet my brother, he was in Bangalore), but this place was looking amazing. And when I heard some phrases like "deserted island", "camping", "coracle ride", I couldn't stop myself. I did the payment right away and confirmed my slot. Ahhh.. finally a trek, after 5 months!

Day-0: Leaving the city of chaos
On Friday, I reached home at 6:15 pm. I was very excited for the trek. I wanted to try my new rucksack which I bought last month from Hyderabad. I started packing all the stuff. I always wanted to make a list of things I should take on a trek. So that I don't forget anything necessary. But in all of my previous treks, I never got this much time for packing. So, I started listing the things!
The heading of the list was "Things you shud bring on a
Soon my packing was done and I was out of my flat to reach Dumlur, one of the pick-up points. The moment you reach the pick-up point, you start interacting with new people. These are the people with whom you're gonna spend the weekend. Very soon I sensed that this time I am with amazing people, again! We all mingled quickly and started knowing each other.
After the introduction and tempo-shout, I went to my most favourite seat in the bus - The Cabin! Our driver was very friendly and simple guy. Srividya became a good friend very soon. She is a college kid, studying zoology, yoga enthusiast, crazy about jungle and insects! Soon she convinced me that I must visit Agumbe! Ishan, Srividya and were talking till very late. It was 2 am and it was necessary to get some sleep. I went back and found there were no seats vacant. The bus was fully packed and there were no extra seats. And one guy at the back was sleeping comortably, occupying two seats. Being an insomniac myself, I know how important is sleep, and I can't wake up someone! So I went back to the cabin. But the driver, he saw my condition and asked me to lay down in the cabin itself. And then I had a good couple of hours of sleep!
Day-1
We stopped at the Sagara bus stop to freshen up. When everyone was done, the local guide joined us to show us the way. We went to the backwaters
